I tell students that, while I would live to visit the ISS, I would make a terrible astronaut because I would spend all my time in the cupola gazing at Earth instead of getting my work done. I fear the same would be true on Mars.

Do the Spanish and Portuguese versions use metric? In general to all planetarians, do you use metric for school and/or public shows? It would make my job easier as a college science educator (in USA)!
15:18:07 From Dave Cuomo, Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. to Everyone:
I try very hard to consistently use metric as the default measurement and give the English equivilants
15:19:43 From Ken Brandt to Everyone:
I like the different flags for the probes…
15:19:55 From Karrie Berglund, Digitalis Education Solutions to Everyone:
I like to do both imperial and metric.
15:21:52 From Ken Brandt to Everyone:
I have a whole landing site selection activity about that!
15:21:55 From Dave Cuomo, Digitalis Education Solutions, Inc. to Everyone:
most public audiences in the US are unfamiliar with metric, so using the metric without giving the english equivilant doesn't effectively communicate.
