14:14:43 From Nick Strobel to Everyone:

Yes, we do need a dome several miles across for it to be more realistic. Waiting for funding for that…

14:15:40 From Ken Miller to Everyone:

Easy bribe!

14:16:22 From Keith Johnson to Everyone:

Nick, I’ll bet a half-mile dome would be sufficient!

14:36:42 From Heather Jones to Everyone:

How would wayfinder figure out their longitude?

14:38:30 From amy to Everyone:

Since there was no way, traditionally, to find longitude, way finders in Europe as well as Polynesia would “run their eastings down” (or westings)

14:44:19 From amy to Everyone:

. . . that is, go the latitude you want, then sail east (or west) to the correct longitude

14:44:24 From Andy Kreyche to Everyone:

Are there any requests to non-natives about how this information is shared and what is told?

14:48:45 From Nick Strobel to Everyone:

sailing by the seat of your pants

14:51:02 From amy to Everyone:

Is there anything in the genetic or archaeological record that suggests Polynesians landing in South Americaca?

14:55:05 From Karrie to Everyone:

We at Digitalis added the Polynesian constellations to Stellarium with direct input and feedback from the Polynesian Voyaging Society.

14:55:34 From Tony Smith (he/him) to Everyone:

www.hokulea.com is Polynesian Voyaging Society

14:58:02 From John Gus Erickson to Everyone:

The Polynesian word for yam is similar to the Quechua word. An article in Smithsonian says that DNA evidence suugests that Yams originated in the Pacific and were spread by Polynesians.

15:00:57 From Andy Kreyche to Everyone:

Late mornings or noontime would likely be best. My schedule may be changing, so take this with a grain of salt.
